Missing...

Has anyone seen or heard from either of these people in the past 12 hours? Because I've been calling both of them and they're not answering. And I'm worried...

I mean, they're the ones that are supposed to worry about me...I'm their daughter for Pete's sakes....

I'm ridiculous. Ignore me.

I'm Crazy Cakes...

I'm absolutely nuts. I don't know why I do this to myself.

I'm such a girl.

If you haven't noticed or don't personally know me, I'm a huge romantic. I like to think that I'm a realist and that I have both feet firmly planted on the ground, but that's a lie.

A total lie.

Anyways, back to my point. I have this guilty pleasure. I like to look at wedding pictures. Of people that I don't know. Is that weird? I feel like that's weird.

Does anyone else do this?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Quick Prayer Request...

So, I'm not really sure how many people this blog actually reaches, but if anyone out there reads this I have a prayer request. There's this girl that goes to my school named Amanda Judice. I don't know her personally but a couple of my friends do. She is currently suffering with cancer and needs our prayers! So let's storm the heaven and get this girl some healing, or at least some comfort in this tough time. Thanks in advance!

I hope everyone is staying warm today!

I Dreamed a Dream...

So I'm sitting at work, right? Next to the most annoying printer in the WORLD and I'm day dreaming.

I'm a day dreamer, did I mention that?

So I'm thinking back of the past couple nights of sleep I got.

NOTE: I may be the ONLY person in the entire world that day dreams about sleep. That only goes to show how much I relish and value my sleep.

And then, BAM, I remember the past couple of dreams that I've had lately.

I only remember bits and pieces, and none of them are super crazy, just weird...and a little random.

In my dream the night before last, I was going to my friend Hawaii's wedding. This dream is not too far off because she has her entire wedding planned out practically, but the weird part is the location/other attendees. The wedding took place on LSU's campus. I feel like it was likely at the Greek Ampitheatre, which is kind of cool, except for all of the cockroaches (ew). I don't really remember many of the attendees except for Libbs and Jase-Face. Weird, because I don't even think they know her. Anyways, this dream was kind of boring, I just thought it was totally bizarre.

My dream last night was a little messed up. I remember VERY little about it, but apparently either I was out to get one of my friends, or they were out to get me. There were guns involved and we ended up in some sort of a trailer. It was not pretty.

Okay so this was all over the place, I just want to remember my dreams for future reference.

Is that weird?

NOTE: Please don't hate me

You know what? I don’t like not getting my way. I’m sure you don’t either, but you’re too ashamed to say it. I probably would be afraid to say it out loud, to be perfectly honest, but this blog lets me write whatever I want on it. So yeah, I like it when things go my way, hate on that all you want.

But just like the classic Stones song says: You can’t always get what you want.

Ain’t that da truth!

This evening I didn’t get what I wanted. And it made me mad. Livid would be an appropriate word for this instance. And this mood didn’t go away. In fact, this mood still lingers a little bit, even though it happened HOURS ago.

Which is why I am here, writing to you lovely people. Because I need to vent. And work it out in my head that I will not get this. Even though I deserve it and it isn’t fair and it hurts, I don’t get it and I’ll be okay without it. It still sucks, okay?

I don’t even know if I’m going to post this blog. I don’t want everyone to think that I’m a spoiled brat and I’m mad that Daddy won’t give me money to go to Hawaii for spring break. No, I’m upset about something that costs nothing but something that I passionately love. Something that is so a part of me that I could not see me without it. Something about me that has been looked over and pushed aside for most of my life.

So I have a right to be angry, correct? I think so.

I’ll be okay, really. I just need to be a little annoyed for now. I’m human. I’m a very passionate person.

So shoot me.

I hope you don’t hate me after reading this.

Well Hello Very-Neglected-Little-Blog

Fancy meeting you here? Number Three just told me that she wouldn't mind if I blogged more often, so in order to appease her (and get back into the swing of things on here). I've decided to write about this (crazy, whacked out, redonkeykong) dream I had last night.

You recognize that precious face, dontcha?

This is the face that appeared in my dreams last night. Pleasant, huh?

Let me set the scene for you. I was lounging around at our Catholic Student Center at school. This is not unusual, considering the fact that I spend almost every waking moment there. I'm just minding my own business when a strange figure appears, hovering over the ground. (Side Note: I'm thinking I combined Voldemort and a dementor into one person, because he was sucking happiness out of people left and right.) I recognize that it's Voldemort (because of the movies, naturally) and he approaches me and tells me that if I didn't give him a massage, he would kill me.

I don't really remember much other than that. I'm now attempting to figure out where this bizarre dream came from with not much luck. The only thing I can draw a connection to is one of my friends who always asks for massages (cough Pinocchio...). I'm not sure if P is supposed to be Voldemort or if he just told Voldy that I give good massages...Either way, I'm going to have to have a word with him...

It was certainly one of the most bizarre dreams I have ever experienced. Makes for a good story though.

Sweet Dreams, munchkins!

PS. I get to see #3 tomorrow! : )

WORD.

You know what I find really crazy? How just a few days in average, everyday life can completely change my world. Like, really, y'all. For reals, for reals.

So this weekend I staffed a confirmation retreat for a group of Juniors in high school. I've done plenty of these over the course of this past year since I'm on the retreat team at my parish. No BD, right?

Wrong. So VERY wrong. My life was rocked, big time.

I learned many things.

One. I need to start being a real woman. Seriously. I was so inspired by the men that I staffed with. They were the real deal. They gave me so much hope, hope that I was running really short on. They showed me what a Christ-like man really is. I was reflecting yesterday on this about how I can help more men to be this way and I realized all of a sudden that we women need to be Christ-like for them. These men taught me all of this and you want to know what the best part was? They changed me, and they have no idea. So if any of you men read this, thank you. You called me on, big time.

Two. My sisters. I need my flipping sisters so much more than I ever realized. The women (the staffers AND the retreatants) totally inspired my heart. I got to spend a lot of time with women at this retreat, and it was so FIYA AWESOME. We laughed a lot, and even cried a little, and it was incredible. I realized that I need all of my female friendships to be like that. One retreatant in particular totally stood up for the rest of the girls during one of the girls sessions. It really spoke to me that we girls need to stick together instead of being the catty little girls we sometimes are. So great.

Three. I need more laughter in my life. It seems obvious, right? This weekend we were all unafraid to be silly. We had impromptu dance parties, an EPIC bonfire sing-a-long, and random clumsy moments (I seem to recall a spilled glass of orange juice) :). And, get this, none of us were embarrassed to be who we were. It was something I haven't experienced in a long time. It invigorated me.

All in all, when it was all over, I couldn't stop smiling. Who knew that an ordinary weekend could turn into something so extraordinary.

I hope you all have an amazing week.
